Double bass madness! You guys should download this quicktime vid. It's 71mb, but worth watching. This drummer, who sometimes posts on another forum, is heavily into all the fusion guys, also zappa,( he has loads of zappa charts apparently), and all sorts of other music. He studied with joe morello, chapin, chaffee, grant collins and some others. He played in the VA tech jazz orchestra for 3 years, and devoted 7 years to just playing jazz, until he discovered that he really loves the energy of metal. A few minutes into this video, there are some nice hand chops going on, not just feet. See whatcha think. Oh, the vocalist is terrible IMO, and sounds like he's vomiting. Makes me laugh anyhow.
